NORDIC & WSDA

In February 2007 the WSDA partnered with The ODS Companies of Oregon to purchase Northwest Dentists Insurance Company (NORDIC), Washington’s leading professional and general liability insurance company for dentists.

Both ODS and the WSDA, a guiding force in the creation and evolution of NORDIC throughout the past 22 years, see the purchase of NORDIC as a generational business opportunity squarely in line with their shared mission to support Northwest dentistry and to protect the future of the dental malpractice industry.

One of the WSDA Board of Directors’ major goals for the WSDA is long-term financial stability including for-profit investments. Members of the board, along with members of the WSDA House of Delegates, are convinced this partnership with ODS offers a unique opportunity for the Association to own a valuable asset that could provide a significant stream of non-dues revenue into the future.
